BREAKING. Idols winner Elvis Blue: ''I'm still scared of what people say about me'' . . . and other quotes from the sixth season winner.

''I'm always scared of what people say about me. I'm still scared of what people say about me,'' says Elvis Blue, the new sixth season winner of Idols on M-Net. ''I think after this competition I'm handling it a little bit better, but its not something I have yet mastered. I'm definitely better than what I was 14 weeks ago,'' he says.

This is one of the revealing things Elvis Blue said in the press conference right after he won Idols last night in the live final Idols Results Show on the pay broadcaster. Here's some of the other interesting quotes Elvis Blue made.

On what sets him apart from previous Idols winners: ''I think everyone's different. I think probably the thing that might make me different is that I'm a writer. I write my own music.''

On how he feels about fame: ''I still feel the same as I did. I know things are different. But I still feel very much the same as I did a few months ago.''

On how he feels about winning Idols: ''I feel very emotional. You know, like when you have a big birthday - like you turn 30 or you turn 40 - its a pivotal moment. You feel nervous but its something that's deep down inside you. You just feel and sense that there is something really big happening with you. Like when my child was born. And that's how it feels. I just feel there's something very big happening with me in my life and its actually too big to say and express exactly how I'm feeling right now.''

BREAKING. Elvis Blue admits imitating Adam Lambert: ''I used what he did. Idols is not just about singing, it's about what you do.''

Way back in September I exclusively broke the news RIGHT HERE about the remarkable transformation and the way that Idols contestant Elvis Blue was turning into the popular American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert.

I asked Elvis Blue, the new Idols sixth season winner about his look and song choice that mirrored Adam Lambert right from the beginning of the just-concluded season of Idols, and Elvis Blue readily admitted to me that that was part of his strategy and plan to try and win Idols.

''I did use quite . . . I used what he [Adam Lambert] did,'' says Elvis Blue. ''For me he was the best American Idol contestant since the show started many, many years ago. Even though he came second, he was unique, he did his own thing, and I thought that he was absolutely brilliant and it shows: he's still number one. So following a guy like that in this show . . . well, I knew that for me in Idols its not just about singing - it's up here as well [he point to his head]. It's about what you do. So I thought it would be a good idea. I would have never thought of some of the stuff like that that he thought of you know.

BREAKING. Idols winner Elvis Blue walks the red carpet: ''The best way to thank people is to make sure I make music for a very long time.''

You're seeing it here first.

Elvis Blue (30) - his real name is Jan Hoogendyk - who won Idols on M-Net last night got the red carpet treatment after a press conference to meet and greet fans and I can show you the first red carpet photos.
.
''For the last ten years I haven't made any money out of music,'' says the newest Idols winner who won the sixth season with 64% of the votes. ''That song I was singing, 'She gives me money when I'm in need', its kind of the story of my marriage for me and my wife, you know?'' says the winner who decided to share his prize money of R500 000 and will be giving R250 000 to runner-up Lloyd Cele (28) from Durban.

''I really want to spend a long time making music and I know sometimes you make a lot [of money] and sometimes you make nothing. I think the best way to thank people - all the fans - who've given me this opportunity is to make sure that I make music for a very long time to come,'' says Elvis Blue who also posed on the red carpet with his blond wife Chireze.

''I hope I've inspired them to keep going,'' Elvis Blue says about persevering to following his dream to become a musician and commercial artist in South Africa. ''If its your dream and passion, just keep going with what you do. If you're someone who does music you do it because its who you are. Its not your hobby. Only in the last few year I've realized that even if I don't make it, even if I don't make any money, this is who I am and this is what I was made to do. I hope my story inspires people to believe that.''

HALLELUJAH! Song choice for Idols' final two contestants, Elvis Blue and Lloyd Cele, revealed.

Cobus Bodenstein/M-Net

The song choice for the last two Idols contestants in the sixth season on M-Net - Elvis Blue (28) and Lloyd Cele (28) - has just been revealed by the pay broadcaster.

For Sunday's last Idols Spectacular performance, Elvis Blue and Lloyd Cele will perform three songs each.

The first song will be their individual favourite songs they've already performed. Elvis Blue made a brilliant choice by choosing Leonard Cohen's adapted ''Hallelujah''. Lloyd Cele is also making a great choice with Bruno Mars' ''Just The Way You Are''.

Their second song is chosen by the Idols producers. Elvis Blue will sing Bob Dylan's ''To Make You Feel My Love'' and Lloyd Cele will sing ''Push Me To The Floor'' from The Parlotones.

Their third song will be the debut single that the winner will release next week after he's won. Elvis Blue will sing Elvis' ''Things My Father Said'' and Lloyd Cele will sing ''Thanks To You''.

I also told you RIGHT HERE already that Sunday's show will reunite on the Idols stage for the first time, the joint winners Jason-Hartman and Sasha-Lee Davids from the fifth season of Idols, and that Jody Williams, the fourth season Idols winner will also perform.

BREAKING IDOLS SHOCKER! Idols contestant Elvis Blue is turning into American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert!

You're seeing it here first.

I can be first to reveal the utterly astounding way in which Idols Top 9 contestant Elvis Blue (real name Jan Hoogendyk) is mimicking and turning into the American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert as Elvis Blue not only sings the exact same songs - but also starts to look like his American counterpart!

Nobody is noticing, but the similarities are blatant and becoming even more striking. Earlier today I told you RIGHT HERE about how Elvis Blue is picking and singing the EXACT same songs Adam Lambert did in the reality show.

And tonight, when Elvis Blue appeared on stage he even looked exactly like Adam Lambert, down to the smallest detail in his grooming and style in the disco themed Idols Spectacular episode. Just like Adam Lambert, the 30 year old husband and dad from George sported his raven black hair in a jelled back, slick sixties look tonight. Uncanny! And forget about the similarities in suits, shirts, and looks - Elvis Blue once again sang a song tonight that Adam Lamberts happened to choose as well - If I can't have you. And get this: In  tonight's Idols Elvis Blue admitted that he's ''doing a bit of a different arrangement''. We'll, its exactly the ''different arrangement'' of the song that Adam Lambert also sang of If I can't have you in American Idol.

And how can it possibly be mere co-incidence that both Elvis Blue and Adam Lambert have matching, black studs in their ears . . .

BREAKING. Idols' Elvis Blue is hiding a BIG Adam Lambert secret . . . he's singing exactly the same songs!

With thousands of possible songs in the world, its definitely no co-incidence - and no other TV writers have yet noticed it, or caught on: that the Idols contestant Elvis Blue (his real name is Jan Hoogendyk) is secretly, yet blatantly imitating the latest American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert regarding song choice!

In the Idols Spectaculars on Sunday at 17:30 on M-Net - as again for this evening's show, Elvis Blue is so far singing exactly what the American Idol contestant Adam Lambert sang.
The secret similarities are uncanny. Play that Funky Music by Wild Cherry was the song choice of Elvis Blue during last week's Top 10 Idols performance. Adam Lambert sang that same exact song during his Top 9 week.

Tonight viewers will see Elvis Blue sing If I Can't Have You I Don't Want Nobody Baby made famous by Yvonne Elliman. This week's Idols theme is ''disco''. Now take one guess what Adam Lambert's song choice was when ''disco'' was the American Idol theme for that week. Yep. Same song!

It would seem that Elvis Blue has a clear strategy to win the sixth season of Idols and that that secret strategy entails channeling the rocker energy on the Idols stage in terms of song choice, similar to what Adam Lambert brought to the latest American Idol season and almost saw him win.
