The Big Picture coming to e.tv from October, as Nicky Greenwall reworks The Showbiz Report to now just focus on movies.

Nicky Greenwall, pregnant with her second child, is reheating her first solo TV venture, the longrunning The Showbiz Report on e.tv in a new guise entitled The Big Picture which will start on e.tv on Monday 7 October at 20:30.

As TV with Thinus reported last month, Nicky Greenwall's celeb studio talker ScreenTime with Nicky Greenwall produced by Greenwall Productions has been renewed for a third season set to start in January 2014 on e.tv. The new season is, as reported, being done from a new studio in Woodstock, Cape Town.

As TV with Thinus reported last month, Nicky Greenwall's celebrity profile show The Close-Up will start its third season on e.tv on 8 July at 20:30 on e.tv, and is also produced by Greenwall Productions.

TV with Thinus broke the news in May 2012 that The Showbiz Report on e.tv was over. e.tv apparently lied in May 2012 when the free-to-air commercial channel said that The Showbiz Report will be back

A few months later in August 2012 Nicky Greenwall revealed in an episode of The Close-Up about herself revealed why she decided to end The Showbiz Report.

The Big Picture which will start in October will be a lot like The Showbiz Report but will have its emphasis on movies and the film industry. The Big Picture will profile movie stars, directors and celebrities from the world of films, look at upcoming big screen releases and bring viewers general movie news and updates.

There's been no official announcement from e.tv about The Big Picture.

BREAKING. e.tv says The Showbiz Report with Nicky Greenwall will be back ... e.tv just doesn't know when.

You're reading it here first.

I broke the news that The Showbiz Report, the longrunning stalwart weekly entertainment news show on e.tv produced and fronted by Nicky Greenwall will be disappearing from Saturday evenings at 19:30 from June - and now e.tv is responding that The Showbiz Report will be back ... e.tv just doesn't know when.

As I reported this morning, The Showbiz Report on e.tv will be replaced by a second season of The Close Up - also done by Nicky Greenwall - from Saturday 2 June at 19:30. The second season of The Close Up will run for 10 episodes.

After The Close Up, The Showbiz Report won't return but Nicky Greenwall will become a talk show host with the brand-new show Screen Time with Nicky Greenwall.

Screen Time with Nicky Greenwall will start on 4 August at 19:30 on e.tv. It's not clear for how long Screen Time with Nicky Greenwall will be on the air. It means that The Showbiz Report will be gone for longer than a quarter of a year - the longest off-air period yet since the show started.

e.tv didn't respond to a media enquiry made about the future of The Showbiz Report yesterday.

E.tv has now responded. "The Showbiz Report will return on the schedule. We are not able to confirm the date at this stage. The Showbiz Report brand is very important for our viewers," says Monde Twala, e.tv's head of channels.

BREAKING. The Showbiz Report canned? e.tv replacing it with The Close Up and then the new Screen Time with Nicky Greenwall.

You're reading it here first.

I can exclusively break the news and be first to spill that the longrunning The Showbiz Report on e.tv with Nicky Greenwall seems over - to be replaced first by a second season of The Close Up in June and then by a brand-new show, Screen Time with Nicky Greenwall from August when Nicky Greenwall turns talk show host.

As I exclusively broke the news RIGHT HERE yesterday, e.tv is bringing back The Close Up for a second season from Saturday 2 June at 19:30. The second season of The Close Up will replace The Showbiz Report which is also done by Nicky Greenwall.

ALSO READ: e.tv says The Showbiz Report will be back ... e.tv just doesn't know when.

ALSO READ: e.tv snags the rights to the new reality show, Love in the Wild, set to start on e.tv on 30 August.

The Showbiz Report returned after a break earlier this year with new regular weekly episodes when Nicky Greenwall who's daughter was born last year, returned from maternity leave. Just before going on maternity leave Nicky Greenwall said that she didn't know whether she would want to continue with The Showbiz Report after maternity leave.

When the second season of The Close Up concludes its second season of 10 episodes on 4 August in the 19:30 timeslot, The Showbiz Report won't be back.

e.tv will then bring viewers a brand-new series, Screen Time with Nicky Greenwall, set to start on Saturday 11 August at 19:30 replacing The Close Up.

Screen Time with Nicky Greenwall will be a weekly entertainment talk show as Nicky Greenwall turns talk show host.

Screen Time with Nicky Greenwall will see the new mom doing weekly in-studio interviews with high-profile local entertainment stars who will open up about their personal lives and their professional projects. The show will also comment on the week's most buzzed about local and international entertainment news stories.

With The Close Up and then Screen Time with Nicky Greenwall consecutively replacing The Showbiz Report, it means that the longrunning show will be absent for longer than a quarter of a year (should it ever be back) - the longest stretch since The Showbiz Report started.

e.tv didn't respond when asked yesterday whether The Showbiz Report will be back.

When The Showbiz Report on e.tv returns with new episodes in 2012 viewers won't see Nicky Greenwall.

You're reading it here first.

I can exclusively break the news that when The Showbiz Report on e.tv returns in 2012, viewers won't be seeing the show's longtime presenter Nicky Greenwall.

The Showbiz Report, e.tv's weekly entertainment news magazine show on Saturday nights is currently off the air and replaced with pre-packaged rundown lists. I can reveal however that The Showbiz Report will start again on Saturday 14 January with the first brand-new produced episode. It will however not feature Nicky Greenwall anchoring the episode from a Cape Town locale as has been the case the past few years.

''Nicky Greenwall will not appear on screen when the show returns in January,'' e.tv answered after I made several enquiries about the show's return. ''She will do voice-overs,'' says the broadcaster. According to insiders Nicky Greenwall's full return to the show will only really be in mid-February 2012 when she returns from maternity leave.

She gave birth to her and Robin Fryer's daughter Georgina Fryer on 28 September and has been on maternity leave since after finishing and pre-recording the well-produced and critically-liked profile series, The Close Up.

BREAKING. Nicky Greenwall gives birth to daughter Georgina Fryer; Nicky and Robin call it 'the most momentous event in our lives'.

You're reading it here first.

I broke the news in April RIGHT HERE that The Showbiz Report presenter on e.tv, Nicky Greenwall was with child and now I can be first to tell that she and partner Robin Fryer became the proud parents of daughter Georgina Fryer last Wednesday, 28 September.

Georgina Fryer weighed in at 3kg after she was born at the Kingsbury Hospital and is, according to the parents ''doing well''.

''This is the most momentous event in our lives. We are a very happy little family,'' said Nicky Greenwall who've been in a relationship with Robin Fryer for the past 8 years.

Nicky Greenwall will resume her presenting duties of the weekly The Showbiz Report on e.tv in mid-January.

REVEALED! Nicky Greenwall on the red carpet, proudly showing her baby bump in public with Robin Fryer, for her new show The Close-Up.

There's that wonderful meta-media moment in Chicago where Roxy Hart completely steals the limelight when she's in Cook County Jail and goes: ''Oh no. Don't worry about me. Oh ... I only hope the fall didn't hurt ... the baby.'' Then cameras flash as reporters storm to Roxy and all the media attention returns to just her.

In a similar way entertainment journalists gaggled together and simply stormed the red carpet last night at the first sight of the pregnant Nicky Greenwall proudly showing off her beautiful baby bump for the first time in public with her boyfriend Robin Fryer. The radiant couple attended the perfectly organized and magnificently put-together press launch of her new celeb profile show The Close-Up starting on Saturday 20 August at 19:30 on e.tv.

In April I broke the news RIGHT HERE that the longtime blonde presenter of The Showbiz Reporter is expecting her first child.
Then at the beginning of last month I broke the news RIGHT HERE that she's working on The Close-Up to replace The Showbiz Report when she goes on maternity leave.

When Nicky Greenwall and Robin Fryer appeared on the red carpet at the lux 15 on Orange, the happy couple got totally swarmed as press jostled for space for photos of the couple. The event was organized perfectly with a VIP area, an open bar where celebrities mingled while the wine and beer flowed with free chocolates and even WebAfrica free internet vouchers, as well as a screening room where journalists and critics could watch The Close-Up and get a press disk. If only all launches for TV shows could be as well put together as Greenwall Productions and Marina's Little Black Book did perfectly.

''They look beautiful; beautiful together and so happy in love,'' said another red-carpet walker who almost got pushed aside as the seemingly-obsessed press flocked to catch Nicky Greenwall and her baby bump and trampled over each other as Nicky, baby bump and Robin were bathed in a daze of flashlights and snaparazzi who couldn't get enough.

Press watching in the screening room, personally taken and graciously led there by Nicky Greenwall were unanimously impressed with the quality of The Close-Up.

In The Close-Up Nicky Greenwall interviews a range of celebrities like Locnville, Tamara Dey, Kenneth Nkosi, Jack Parow. Episodes of The Close-Up contain remarkable personal, home video footage and a dazzling array of personal photographs from the private lives of the celebrities profiled that's striking to see, with surprisingly candid and very open moments in which the personalities share eye-opening revelations about their lives. Robin Fryer also did mesmerising black and white photo shoots of all, with the still photography that will appear in the opening title of The Close-Up.

BREAKING. The Showbiz Report's Nicky Greenwall is pregnant; expecting first baby with her longtime boyfriend Robin Fryer.

You're reading it here first.

I want to exclusively break the news that Nicky Greenwall and her boyfriend Robin Fryer is pregnant and expecting their first baby, with a source telling TV with Thinus that the presenter of the weekly entertainment magazine news show The Showbiz Report Saturdays at 19:30 on e.tv is with child.

The baby will be Nicky Greenwall and her longtime boyfriend Robin Fryer first child that's expected just before the end of the year in September.

''Nicky is about three to four months along with her pregnancy,'' quips a friend who spilled the news and added when I asked: ''If you look carefully, you will no longer really see her appearing full-length on The Showbiz Report - it's now all just middle up on the TV screen to hide the new and growing baby bump.''

Besides presenting the show since 2005 Nicky Greenwall is also the executive producer of The Showbiz Report done by her own Greenwall Productions and I'm told that with the bun in the oven she plans on taking things a little bit slower from now on. Running Greenwall Productions Nicky Greenwall is also responsible for the shows The Style Report and The Tech Report.

''Nicky Greenwall will still be doing The Showbiz Report for the forseeable future but she's definitely cutting back some stuff,'' says a source. ''She ending or going to stop the former daily entertainment news stories for the eNews Channel (DStv 403) for instance, although she's planning to still continue doing the Friday appearances on the eNews Channel,'' says a well placed-source.
''Nicky Greenwall is very happy about the prospect of becoming a mother,'' says another source. ''Nicky and Robin can't be more happier about the pregnancy and the baby that's on the way. Nicky looks radiant and happy.''

Congratulations!

Is The Showbiz Report with Nicky Greenwall going to Hollywood for the Oscars in 2011?

Will Nicky Greenwall from e.tv's weekly entertainment magazine The Showbiz Report on Saturdays at 19:30 be reporting from the 83rd Academy Awards taking place at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood on 27 February?

Nicky Greenwall did special shows - both pre-award interview and feature episodes as well as recap episodes - the past two years for The Showbiz Report, but it's not yet certain whether she'll be doing so again this year. When I asked e.tv earlier in the week I was told that the channel have spoken to Nicky Greenwall and that ''plans to go to the awards have not been finalised at all''.

BREAKING. Nicky Greenwall's The Showbiz Report to count down the Top 25 Entertainers of the Year for 2010 in a two-part special.

You're reading it here first.

I can be first to exclusively reveal the news that e.tv's weekly entertainment news magazine show The Showbiz Report with Nicky Greenwall is getting ready to count down the Top 25 Entertainers of the Year for 2010 in a terrific two-part special set to start in about two weeks' time.

This coming Saturday at 19:30 will be the last regular episode of The Showbiz Report after which a two-week special presented and produced by Nicky Greenwall debuts on Saturday, 18 December at 19:30 on e.tv (22:30 on the eNews Channel, DStv 403), entitled Top 25 Entertainers of the Year.

Nicky Greenwall's Top 25 Entertainers of the Year for 2010 will be counting down the 25 entertainers that have been featured most on The Showbiz Report during the past year and will, I've been told ''feature new interview, never-before-seen-visuals and insights into what makes some of South Africa's, as well as the world's, biggest entertainers tick''.

Part two of Top 25 Entertainers of the Year will debut on Saturday, 8 January 2011 at 19:30 (22:30 on the eNews Channel, DStv 403) and will complete the countdown. The Showbiz Report will start again for 2011 on Saturday, 15 January at 19:30.

BREAKING. Nicky Greenwall's utterly unbelievable (and shocking!) new job: TV presenter for the Papparazzi Channel!

You're reading it here first.

Nicky Greenwall now works as a presenter for the Papparazzi Channel!

Or so it seems. Casual TV viewers might wonder why a blonde in a red dress who looks remarkably like Nicky Greenwall from e.tv's weekly entertainment magazine show The Showbiz Report (Okay. It is her) is suddenly on television and appearing on a brand-new TV channel that suspiciously looks a lot like E! Entertainment.

Providing breathless reporting, the ever-energetic Nicky Greenwall interrupts the normal programming with some breaking news on the Papparazzi channel, complete with a red-and-white ''P'' exclamation icon as the channel logo in the corner.

It turns out the sexy showbiz TV reporter kept her day, uhm, night job as presenter and executive producer of the prime time The Showbiz Report.

Nicky Greenwall's playing-to-type appearance, and the Papparazzi Channel are all part of a Hansa Pilsner TV commercial in which the fictitious channel appears. Funny thing is, the ad is playing on various TV channels including the SABC. That means that an e.tv on-air personality now appears on a TV screen inside a commercial on a competitor's airwaves, in an indirect way. Now that's pure Papparazzi pleasure.
