M-Net (DStv 101) will broadcast the 6-episode BH90210, that has concluded its first season in the United States, on Saturday nights in South Africa.
The original cast - who reunited to play heightened, fictional versions of themselves as they try to get a reboot of their show back on the air - said that they would like to see the limited series run for several seasons.
"We have so many stories to tell that this could keep going on season after season," said Tori Spelling.
Fox said in a statement on Thursday announcing the BH90210 cancellation that "We are so proud to have reunited in a very special summer event one of the network’s legacy series and casts with 90210 fans".
"Profound thanks to and respect for Brian Austin Green], Gabrielle Carteris], Ian Ziering, Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Shannen Doherty and Tori Spelling, who, along with the entire crew and everyone at Fox and CBS Television Studios, poured their hearts and souls into this truly inventive and nostalgic revival."
BH90210 was co-created by Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling who were also the executive producers alongside co-creators and showrunners Mike Chessler and Chris Alberghini, and was produced by CBS Television Studios and Fox Entertainment.
The reboot of Beverly Hills, 90210 made its debut in the United States last night and in a melancholic scene, the iconic stars of the new BH90210 coming to M-Net (DStv 101) soon, addressed the recent unexpected death of Luke Perry the moment they got together with a lot of hugs.
The new BH90210 plays as a new type of reboot - the scripted drama series is still fictional but this time the actors are not playing their characters but a heightened version of themselves with the story following Tori Spelling trying to get the group together to do a new version of their famous 1990s Hollywood postal code show. In the first episode the gang immediately addresses the unexpected death of Luke Perry who played the character of Dylan McKay and who unexpectedly passed away in March this year after suffering two strokes while playing Archie's dad in the Riverdale youth series.
In BH90210 the original cast comes together at a 30-year reunion appearance at a convention centre where they all admit that they feel a bit strange.
"I like that the anniversary brought us together. I can't believe that we are all here," says Gabrielle Carteris who played Andrea.
"I wish that were true," remarks Jason Priestley who played Brandon, as the group of friends all exchange knowing solemn looks as they start to hug.
As part of a new in-show photo shoot the actors recreated one of their iconic poses but this time with Luke Perry absent from the group.

Donna and David can be seen walking into the group's iconic hangout place, The Peach Pit, and share a kiss.
At a hotel resort sitting in a gazebo they all also share drinks and clink glasses, while Andrea once again holds an egg together with Steve like when she tried to gain access to a secret party, and Kelly on a plane says "out of control girl".
On Instagram Jennie Garth posted a new key art poster for BH90210 showing the cast all jumping into the air, captioning it with the words "I can't believe this is happening!!".
Shannen Doherty on her Instagram posted a photo of herself, Gabrielle Carteris, Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling sitting on a newly-recreated Peach Pit set, writing "Wait what???? Flashback photo or present day? Guess you'll have to tune in to see....".

The cast announced the pick-up of the new series with social media messages linking to a video promoting 90210's return.
Luke Perry, currently in Riverdale seen on M-Net who portrayed Dylan and notorious troublemaker Shannen Doherty who played Brenda are not currently part of the show but Tori Spelling recently said Luke Perry might make a guest appearance.
"Beverly Hills, 90210 left an indelible impact on pop culture and an entire generation," says Michael Thorn, Fox Entertainment president, in a statement announcing the show's return.
"Its powerful legacy is an important part of our network's DNA - bold stories not told anywhere else and bigger-than-life-characters - and we're honoured to bring back the beloved original cast members for 90210."
The new Beverly Hills, 90210's official description reads: "Having gone their separate ways since the original series ended 19 years ago, Jason, Jennie, Ian, Gabrielle, Brian and Tori reunite when one of them suggests it's time to get a Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot up and running."
"But getting it going may make for an even more delicious soap than the reboot itself. What will happen when first loves, old romances, friends and frenemies come back together, as this iconic cast - whom the whole world watched grow up together - attempts to continue from where they left off?"
Mike Chessler and Chris Alberghini who worked on the 90210 reboot, are the executive producers and writers of the new Beverly Hills, 90210 that will also be shortened and just be known as 90210.
Why is it so difficult to end a really great TV show? The New York Times Magazine says the past 2 decades of great TV has proven that the better the TV, the harder it has become to say goodbye to it.
"The underlying problem is that a TV series' life span is an exceedingly unnatural thing, determined more by ratings, contractual obligations and other corporate-side concerns than by the ideal length of the show's narrative and a writer's original vision."
CBS Reality (DStv 132) is going to gets its very first original show.
CBS Reality, which is run by AMC Networks International, is going to get Donal MacIntyre: Unsolved, the channel's very first original series. The 12 episode, hour long series will follow the investigative journalist and presenter Donal MacIntyre analysing notorious unsolved crime stories. He will use interviews and case files to explore why the cases in question were never solved.
