BREAKING. SABC calls Sue Dennison you're-retired-leave-immediately incident ''unfortunate''; will investigate the matter and pay her.

You're reading it here first.

The SABC has finally responded to the scandalous and horrific incident in which Sue Dennison (63) who worked at the SABC for 20 years was rudely told on Wednesday, August 4 that she'd worked past her retirement age, needs to leave the building immediately and that she won't be paid for the work she did on Monday and Tuesday.

The SABC has told me exclusively - after I told you about what happened RIGHT HERE and spoke to Sue Dennison earlier today RIGHT HERE (when she said ''My heart is broken. It's in pieces.'') - that the incident is ''unfortunate'' and that Sue Dennison will now be paid for the days that she worked in accordance with South Africa's labour law.

''Sue Dennison knows her birth date and has been employed by the SABC for a long time,'' says Kaizer Kganyago, SABC spokesperson in response to my enquiries about why she wasn't told that she needs to retire. He says the matter will be investigated regarding why '' the retirement was communicated in the unfortunate manner that it was done. There will be consequences if no satisfactory answers are received.''

Kaizer Kganyago also told me that the matter of a farewell for Sue Dennison who had to leave immediately - and did so in tears as she left the SABC building after 20 years with distraught longtime colleagues looking on - ''will be discussed with Sue''. ''The SABC values the service of its employees,'' he says. ''Sue will be paid for the extra days that she worked in August.''

SHOCKING SABC WORKER ABUSE! ''My heart is broken and in pieces,'' says Sue Dennison after SABC throws her out after failing to tell her to retire.
BREAKING SHOCKER! SABC forgets to tell worker of 20 years to retire, refuses to pay Sue Dennison for two days in August, as she leaves crying.
