BREAKING. Isha Sesay getting her very own show on CNN International very soon on weekdays.
CNN International (DStv 401) just announced that Isha Sesay will be getting her very own weekday show on the global news channel very soon in a timeslot perfect for viewers across the African continent as well as Europe.
CNN International which said that Isha Sesay will soon get her own show, for now calls it an untitled ''new weekday news programme anchored by CNN's Isha Sesay'' which will form part of a CNN International's major primetime schedule overhaul (which looks tailormade-perfect for viewers in Africa).
Isha Sesay's new weekday show will start with the debut and return of Christiane Amanpour's ''old-new'' show Amanpour on the CNN International line-up very soon.
That CNN International has been actually planning a new show for Isha Sesay now makes perfect sense.
It explains why Isha Sesay was suddenly removed from Inside Africa which she presented for a long time with Errol Barnett who took over half a month ago, and which just left Isha Sesay as the presenter of BackStory - a move which also happened unexpectedly and inexplicably in September 2011.
Here is how CNN International's primetime schedule will change very soon, although CNN International refrained from annoucing a specific date. Times are South African time (GMT+2):
20:00 International Desk
21:00 Quest Means Business
22:00 Amanpour
22:30 New Isha Sesay anchored show (name to be announced)
23:00 Connect the World with Becky Anderson
00:00 Amanpour (repeat)
00:30 World Sport
01:00 Piers Morgan Tonight

The new Amanpour will be part of a major schedule shake-up for CNN International as far as South Africa, African and European viewers are concerned, with the strong journalistic credentials of Amanpour forming the centrepiece of of the dynamic new scheduling line-up.

BREAKING. The racy sex talk on SABC3's Three Talk that gave Noeleen hot flashes, forcing her to tell her guests to tone it down.
You're reading it here first.
Three Talk with Noeleen Maholwana-Sangqu this afternoon on SABC3 very quickly turned very racy for an afternoon TV talk show with the topic of pornography in South Africa - and it didn't take long before a shocked Noeleen Maholwana-Sangqu, saying she's suffering from hot flashes - had to tell her guests to immediately tone the talk down.
On the Three Talk couch for the live episode on SABC3 with a PG rating, were the clinical sexologist dr Elna McKintosh and Gigi, the co-owner of Lollipop Lounge.
Quickly talk turned to Gigi who recently was apparently a judge on a porn reality show, Porn Idols in South Africa and Noeleen asking her about it. ''We had so many guys who want to be porn stars - its really very hard work - especially for the guys. When you've got all the cameras there, and some guys couldn't keep an erection, some came to quickly, some were too small. It's very hard for a guy,'' Gigi said.
That's when Noeleen's eyes went wide and started to roll with Noeleen shooting a sideway glance to the camera.
''They always employ freaks of nature I always think,'' said dr Elna McKintosh, suddenly swinging her right arm down like an elephant trunk, mimicking a certain part of the male anatomy.
''They're always looking for someone with an enormous ... Like you say, they're too small - they're probably normal sized men but ... ''
''If they are too enormous,'' interjected the always helpful Gigi, ''then sometimes they can't get a hardon. That's what I've learned now as well.''
Noeleen, who've heard enough by this point, started flapping her hands wildly. ''Just ... just ... just ... I'm getting hot flushes here. Lets just tone it done a little bit,'' said Noeleen Maholwana-Sangu and quickly changed the topic.
Well. Now we know.
Deutsche Welle to unveil this new channel logo on Monday along with a new (24 hour?) channel line-up.
Deutsche Welle (DStv 446), Germany's international broadcaster that runs several customized regional DW channels (such as in South Africa from 05:00 to 14:00 daily) will be changing the various channels' line-ups, expand programming and unveil an new website and a brand-new logo (here it is above!) this coming Monday 6 February.
The DW changes starting Monday ''would be a milestone for an improved representation of Germany around the world,'' says Deutsche Welle's general director Erik Bettermann. The changes form part of general reform of Germany's international broadcaster.
The DW channel seen in South Africa and Africa, could very well also be changing from a 9 hour channel to a 24 hour channel, but whether this is definitely happening I don't know.
DW says the basic offering - which is the channel currently seen in South Africa - will turn into a 24 hour English programming channel in North America, Africa, Asia and Australia.
Deutsche Welle will run 6 distinct DW channels from Monday when a redesigned website will also be unveiled at http://www.dw.de/ ,well as a new logo (above) replacing the current DW logo (right).
