I can be first to show you these photos from the final episode of MAN that will be going out on SABC3 on Friday, May 7, at 21:30 - and boy, will there be some surprises.

The final episode will find the Cape Town guys in the city on the roof of the Grand Daddy Hotel in Long Street playing poker. Then the foursome sets off for a different kind of party as you can see below, where the clothes go, Kaizer gets himself a red wig and Henri cuts loose. Henri's partying ways eventually catches up with him however . . .

Also, since it's the last episode the guys get together one final time to discuss what they have learnt from each other - and about themselves.

INTERVIEW. Henri Slier of MAN on SABC3 talks about searching for love, the male ego and what men really want.

Henri Slier hangs out in Cape Town in MAN as one of 4 guys in this thought-provoking new docu-reality show that starts tonight on SABC3 at 21:30.

I asked him why he decided to do the show and what he learned about himself by being in front of the camera. He talks about men being men, loving being in front of the camera, and where to find the only virgin that he knows of.

I asked him about what people won't know about him and a moment in MAN that made him uncomfortable. He talks about how he sees true love, losing his virginity to a girl he met on a plane and that he's happy in his own skin.

Last night I went to the launch of MAN, a new quasi-docu-tainment local series starting on SABC3 on Friday, 22 January at 21:30. There's 13 episodes.

MAN as an unscripted reality show follows the lives of 4 Captonian dudes, Maurice, Trevor, Kaizer and Henri - all single, 30something South African men. The show with an amazing production quality (I've watched the first lot of episodes) lifts the lid (warning: adult language and situations, frank discussions about everything) on what it's to be a South African male in terms in terms of the dating scene, social mingling and of course with the backdrop of Cape Town as the ''fifth character''.

''The insight it provides is controversial and dynamic, but most importantly, honest,'' the producers of MAN tells me. ''The opinions expressed are uncensored, and the characters given carte blanche with their views and beliefs.''

You're reading it here first. SABC3 has pushed the new, highly touted local docu series MAN to January.

It was on the preliminary schedule for October but will now only be seen in January.

Earlier the year I got a short sneak preview. LOVED IT already.

Imagine a South African version of Sex and the City, but with four real, 30something, local guys - Kaizer, Maurice, Trevor and Henri - from Cape Town. And not a fictional story, but the cameras following them though their days, dating, activities and then getting together (just like the gals) to talk about it. (Of course the Cosmos gets swapped for beer.) And they talk about EVERYTHING. Very frank and very honest. That is MAN.

Can't wait (till January).
