DStv Film Talent Celebration announces the 5 respected industry judges for the short film competition.
The judges for the DStv Film Talent Celebration are Kgomotso Matsunyane of Tom Pictures, Helen Kuun of Indigenous Distribution, Eve Rantseli of Women of the Sun; Teboho Mahlatsti of The Bomb and Steven Markovitz of the Encounters Film Festival. MultiChoice just officially announced their names.
The DStv Film Talent Celebration is a competition for South African filmmakers in any genres.

''All of our judges are well respected within the film industry and each has extensive experience in the film industry,'' says Itumeleng Letebele, MultiChoice's corporate social investment manager.
With 21 days to go, filmmakers who believe they have what it takes to make an impact in the industry can submit short films before the competition closes on 29 February and can visit http://www.multichoice.co.za/ for the specific of how to enter. For entry forms, rules and regulations and further information, people can phone Hloni Nkhabe at 011 289 3068 or send email to film@multichoice.co.za. The length of the films has to be between three to ten minutes.
The judges will select winners for each of the six categories: Best Production, Best Director, Best Editor, Best Sound, Best Cinematography and Best Newcomer. Winners will receive cash prizes between R20 000 and R50 000. The winners of the DStv Film Talent Celebration will be announced at a special gala event, where the selected short-films will be screened. The event provides a platform for upcoming filmmakers to showcase their work to the industry.
''This is a nationwide search for the best short filmmakers South Africa has to offer and who are able to craft authentic stories through very short-films,'' says Itumeleng Letebele. ''This competition presents numerous opportunities for the winners, such as their films being promoted and broadcast on the DStv platform.''
