BREAKING. Glenn Beck to leave the Fox News Channel and his self-titled show later in the year; will do special projects for the channel.
Glenn Beck (47) will be leaving the Fox News Channel (TopTV 405) and his self-titled show Glenn Beck (weekdays at 23:00 and 08:00 South African time) later in the year the Fox News Channel announced.
''Glenn intends to transition off of his daily program... later this year,'' the news channel says in a statement.
Glenn Beck joined the Fox News Channel in January 2009 but last year 400 advertisers started to boycott his show because of some of his views.
In a statement the Fox News Channel says Glenn Beck will still be doing a ''variety of television projects" for the news channel in the future. ''Glenn Beck is a powerful communicator, a creative entrepreneur and a true success by anybody's standards," Roger Ailes, chairman and CEO of Fox News said. "I look forward to continuing to work with him."
