The SABC disciplinary hearing in Sandton with arbiter and senior advocate Karel Tipp started on Monday and continued on Tuesday, with the suspended Solly Mokoetle accused on a litany of charges mainly centered around his alleged failure to draft and implement a much-needed turnaround strategy for the beleaguered public broadcaster, insubordination and unilaterally making appointments like that of Phil Molefe as the head of news at the SABC.

On Wednesday, the disciplinary hearing that was supposed to run over 8 days was suddenly postponed with no reasons being given. SABC News was first to report about the surprising delay but didn't give any reasons. The disciplinary hearing of Solly Mokoetle is now set to resume only next week.
