Dave Bautista officially retires from wrestling, says he will 'miss this theatre of violence' as SuperSport botches and spoils the Wrestlemania broadcast for DStv subscribers.

The WWE wrestler Dave Bautista has officially announced his retirement from professional wrestling after his defeat on Sunday by Triple H at WrestleMania in New York, while DStv subscribers complained about SuperSport spoiling the results, botching the broadcast and cutting out chunks.

While Dave Bautista said goodbye, angry DStv subscribers are complaining about how SuperSport botched the Wrestlemania 35 broadcast and spoiled the broadcast by announcing results beforehand saying it did so because the original airing was at 01:00 in the morning. Besides these problems, SuperSport also apparently cut out large chunks of the broadcast.

After Sunday's WrestleMania, Dave Bautista in a message wrote on Instagram "To all the WWE fans across the world that gave me the opportunity to suspend your disbelief, thank you".

The Guardians of the Galaxy actor said "From the biggest part of my heart thank you for letting me entertain you. Tonight was my storybook ending and I wanted to leave you with all I had to give."

"I'll miss this theatre of violence more than I can express in words but I am officially retiring from Sports Entertainment. I'm proud of what I've accomplished, I leave in great health, and without a doubt the show will go on. I had a hell of a run. Thank you for the journey."

Now retired from wrestling, Dave Bautista will be able to give his full attention to his acting career and will appear next on the big-screen in Avengers: Endgame releasing later this month, and is also set to appear again as Drax the Destroyer in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
