SuperSport is doing a special Showcase channel that will run from 17 December to 4 January 2019 on MultiChoice's DStv satellite pay-TV platform and that will rebroadcast 2018's sport highlights.
SuperSport's Showcase channel will be available to all DStv subscribers, from DStv Premium to DStv Access and will look back and reshow sporting events from France's World Cup triumph in Russia and the Springboks' win in Wellington to a selection of the best of cricket, golf, tennis and other sporting highlights of 2018.
Included in the two week offering are sport documentaries including "Fire in Babylon", "Forged in Fire", "Being Serena" and "Strokes of Genius"
A series of football documentaries, "The Immortals", will profile soccer stars like Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo, Pele, Johan Cruyff, Thierry Henry and others, while "The Immortals – Sporting Greats" will look at stars like Jack Nicklaus, Carl Lewis, Le Bron James and Sugar Ray Robinson.
Tennis and golf majors will be rebroadcast, as well as this year's Commonwealth Games and Winter Olympics, as well as a look back at all the FIFA World Cup finals from 1970 and the best Champions League finals.
The channel will also show the famous "438" cricket match, as well as Rugby World Cup archive footage, as well as rugby build-up content to the World Cup taking place in Japan next year.
