Supercalifragi ... M-Net is renaming and shortening one of the M-Net Movies channels on MultiChoice's DStv platform, with M-Net Movies Drama & Romance (DStv 107) which has become just M-Net Movies Romance from today.
M-Net says the name change is to stronger emphasise the genre channel proposition "as the channel will predominantly screen film with strong love themes".
The channel which launched exactly a year ago in October 2012 as part of M-Net's big movie channel expansion subset, will still screen dramatic movies as well but M-Net says "all the serious dramas will be aired during the day or after prime time in the evening".
M-Net is also simplifying the scheduled starting times of all movies across all 9 of the M-Net Movies channels with films which will always start at the top of the hour, a quarter past, half past, or a quarter to the hour from now on.
