GOODBYE, SWOOSH. After 17 years DStv quietly dumps the iconic elliptical swoosh which has encircled its logo since 1995.
After 17 years DStv has quietly done away with its elliptical swoosh in the pay-TV platform's logo which half-encircled the letters of its consumer brand since 1995.
No announcement was made to the press, but the swoosh - and once upon a time there were two - is now completely gone and eradicated, leaving only the fluidicly connected letters "DStv".
The swoosh(es) were further and further downscaled over the past almost two decades that MultiChoice has been operating the DStv brand in South Africa and Africa.
The latest and further simplified DStv logo came into commercial use from the beginning of this month and week to co-incide with the commercial launch of the new channel additions on the DStv bouquet.
