BREAKING. MultiChoice to cease broadcast of all its high definition (HD) channels for maintenance from midnight for a few hours.

MultiChoice will cease the broadcast of all its high definition (HD) channels on DStv except one tonight at midnight for a few hours to carry out maintenance, which also means that no recordings for these channels will be able, and that preset scheduled recordings won't be possible.

DStv subscribers with a HD PVR will not have any HD capability except for one channel from midnight tonight (the midnight of Tuesday 10 May) when MultiChoice will be conducting maintenance for 4 hours between 00:00 and 04:00 in the early morning of 11 May.

MultiChoice's HD channels that are affected include M-Net HD (DStv 170), M-Net Movies 1 HD (DStv 175), SuperSport HD (DStv 171), SuperSport HD2 (DStv 174) and SuperSport HD3 (DStv 176).
Discovery HD Showcase (DStv 172) would seem to somehow remain unaffected by the maintenance issues since it's not listed or noted by MultiChoice.

According to MultiChoice scheduled recordings on any of the HD channels won't take place. The pay platform is apologizing in advance to viewers for the interruption and says ''once our maintenance is complete all viewing will resume as normal''.
