e.tv's Step Up Or Step Out dance reality show is not just suddenly getting competition from SABC2's quickly-added Step It Up and Dance reality show but will now also suddenly face competition from ... a THIRD dance reality TV show at the same time.
Vuzu (DStv 123) is adding the local dance reality show Masters of Rhythm that will start on Wednesday, 15 June at 19:30 for 13 episodes.
I can exclusively spill the news that Vuzu's Masters of Rhythm or MOR will be a full first season TV show of the previously off-TV dance competition looking for the best dance crew in South Africa. ''Over the course of 13 episodes the producers will scour South Africa unearthing the very best dance talent the country has to offer'', says Vuzu, ''from popping and locking to breaking and krumping''. That's exactly the same premise as e.tv's Step Up Or Step Out. I can reveal that Masters of Rhythm will be presented by dancers Ialla and Fred. Masters of Rhythm is produced by Fuel Media.
I broke the news RIGHT HERE that e.tv's new local dance reality competition Step Up Or Step Out is suddenly getting competition from SABC2, counter-programming the e.tv show with the American dance reality show Step It Up and Dance. Now the competition for viewers' continued attention and eyeballs will get even tougher with yet another very similar TV show being on at the same time.
