SuperSport looking for a ''camera-friendly'' female rugby commentator in a nationwide ''Lady Rugga'' talent search competition.
SuperSport has launched what it calls a ''Lady Rugga talent search''. SuperSport is looking for ''a sharp, sassy female rugby presenter whose first assignment will be at the Rugby World Cup in September''.
To find ''Lady Rugga'' SuperSport is holding nationwide auditions to find the woman who is passionate about rugby, understands the finer nuances of the game and is also ''camera-friendly'' [TV talk of course for ''pretty'']. The Lady Rugga roadshow starts in Bloemfontein in April and will touch base in Pretoria, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban and Port Elizabeth.
English speaking women who want to enter need to be older that 18. Entrants will be whittled down to a list of 12 and will feature in a one-hour weekly magazine programme in which they will be introduced to viewers and carry out rugby reporting assignments. The winner will be announced in May and will join SuperSport's Rugby World Cup team in New Zealand. Entrants will have to prepare a 30 second sound clip before the judges and will also have to an off-the-cuff 30 second soundbyte.
