EMERGENCY. Why Brothers & Sisters is now creating a whole lot of Trauma instead for SABC3.

You're reading it here first.

So. SABC3 gathered journalists writing about TV together a while ago in Cape Town. Showed clips of upcoming stuff for the 4th quarter of 2010. Said Brothers & Sisters is starting on SABC3 but showed scenes of a black American family fighting, one being dragged down the stairs by the police. Apologized profusely afterwards and said that wasn't Brothers & Sisters. (As if!) Then SABC3 gathered the Johannesburg TV writers the next day, and did the exact same thing again. (Which basically just emphasizes that SABC3 will actually rather show a wrong promo than no promo at all.)

Now I can tell you than basically not only did SABC3 sell a show to the South African TV press it didn't have (a big and embarrasing no-no in TV land) and told journalists that it's planning on brodcasting a show before the channel was sure it definitely had acquire the broadcasting rights, it's even more cringe-worthy bad that SABC3 still doesn't have Brothers & Sisters. Hence . . . the start of Trauma in a week's time, this coming Monday on SABC3 at 21:00.

Trauma, a medical drama set in San Francisco (that was cancelled after its first season of 18 episodes) is the ''replacement'' for what according to sources would have been Brothers & Sisters on SABC3. Trauma will be going out Mondays to Wednesdays on the channel.
