BREAKING. Lucy Cotter joins Sky News as entertainment correspondent for beefed up showbiz coverage.


Sky News (DStv 402) tells me that Lucy Cotter has joined the British 24 hour news channel as its new entertainment correspondent.

Lucy Cotter will cover the biggest arts and entertainment stories from across the globe, says Sky News. ''Lucy Cotter will be reporting live from all the major award ceremonies and red carpet events including the Oscars, Emmys, and Baftas and will be securing exclusive sit-down interviews with the world's most influential artists. In addition, she will report live from the Sky News studio in West London on the latest breaking entertainment stories, offering background expertise, insight and analysis,'' says the news channel.

''Lucy Cotter is a first-rate entertainment correspondent and she will continue Sky News' tradition of delivering the fastest-breaking lines, the biggest guests and the slickest stories in the fields of showbiz and entertainment,'' says Mark Evans, Sky News' head of home news in a press statement.
