BREAKING. e.tv's Sunrise and News Day to go on hiatus over Christmas; other festive programming changes on e.tv's December schedule.

e.tv's morning breakfast show Sunrise that was forced off the air last month due to a studio lighting mishap will be going on hiatus together with the afternoon news show News Day over the Christmas period.

The broadcaster will replace Sunrise with the eNews Channel (DStv 403) feed between 06:00 and 08:30 from 20 December, while News Day will make way for other programming on e.tv on December 16, 24, 27 and 31.

Other planned festive period programming on e.tv includes special episodes of the reality show Fear Factor in December (6 and 13 at 20:00 and 20 and 27 at 21:00), while wrestling programming - WWE Superstars and WWE Smackdown - on Tuesdays and Wednesdays will move later to 23:00 from December 20 to make way for special festive programming and movies.

The four part mini-series Arthur Hailey's Detective and the four parter Gone but not Forgotten will be broadcast on Sundays. The mini-series The Grid will go out from December 20 at 20:00 from Mondays to Wednesdays.
