I have taken spectacular photos of the beautiful and massive set of the SABC Broadcast Centre, that only I can show you. The SABC Broadcast Centre at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg is the nerve centre of the South African public broadcaster's 2010 FIFA World Cup coverage.

Various edit suites, sound mixing fascilities and broadcast servers are used to assist in the broadcast from the impressive set at the SABC Broadcast Centre in Sandton where the workflow is kept in high definition (HD) to preserve the highest possible quality, and is only converted down for transmission when the signal is carried back to the SABC in Auckland Park.

Workers are meticulously checking the lighting and rigging on the set at the SABC Broadcast Centre, which is some of the most elaborate, intensive and expensive that the South African public broadcaster has ever undertaken when it comes to set construction.

The vast multi-level set is used for Good Morning Mzansi, Good Evening Mzansi, Soccer 411, as well as the various match preview shows as well as post analysis broadcast on SABC1.

You will notice all of the circular themes built into the set design, that also incorporates a lot of aluminium into the four multi-level circles where the various anchors, commentators, analysts and on-air guests sit.

The SABC logo is cleverly circularized and imbedded into the main presentation area of the set that is used as the entertainment stage for live performances which also gives visual depth to the big set.
