You're reading it here first.

I can tell you that e.tv's eNews weather team is set to unveil a jaw-dropping and unbelievable new weather forecasting system from tomorrow, Friday, June 11 featuring magnificent super graphics that's rendered and updated with real-time weather information and controlled simply by the weather presenter's hand movements!

Set to be introduced from tomorrow, the new and brilliant eNews weather system is getting a major upgrade. The eNews Channel (DStv 403) and e.tv's superior weather reports are already far beyond the static weather reports of all the other South African television channels and is now leaping forward even further. Specially for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, e.tv's weather reports are set to dazzle with hyper graphics showing real-time weather information of all the soccer stadiums across South Africa - including the prevalent as well as future weather conditions that soccer fans and teams will be facing.

From tomorrow e.tv's weather anchors will incorporate real-time weather data from across the globe into their weather reports and enable them to report on weather anywhere around the globe as it happens. ''We have the ability to monitor and report on the world's weather as it happens,'' says eNews chief meteorologist Derek Van Dam who promises unprecidented detail for weather forecasts for individual soccer matches during the next month. ''Soccer fans will be able to see detailed forecasts of how the weather will affect the players and the pitch of the individual stadiums. This is something we've been working on for well over a year. We're incredibly proud to bring this level of broadcasting to South Africa.''
