'ERROR 500'. Subscribers furious as MultiChoice's DStv Now streaming app again crashes for the second time in a month, and once again during a much-anticipated M-Net show - this time the finale of The Bachelor SA.

MultiChoice on Thursday evening once again fuelled anger and resentment under its DStv subscribers when its untrustworthy and problem-riddled DStv Now streaming app once again crashed for the second time in a month and again during a much-anticipated M-Net (DStv 101) show - this time the finale of The Bachelor South Africa.

MultiChoice's latest DStv Now mess made it completely impossible for many M-Net viewers and DStv subscribers to watch the conclusion of the Rapid Blue produced show, just giving a "Error 500 - There is a problem with the page you requested" message to desperate and upset DStv subscribers.

MultiChoice's latest DStv Now crash and technical problems comes just 4 weeks after DStv Now crashed and wasn't capable of streaming  the first episode of the 8th season of HBO's Game of Thrones on M-Net for DStv subscribers in South Africa and across the sub-Saharan Africa on Monday 15 April.

MultiChoice's DStv Now mess began before, and ran beyond The Bachelor South Africa and impacted DStv subscribers who wanted to watch soccer on SuperSport. They similarly vented and voiced their anger at MultiChoice over the DStv Now mess.

MultiChoice has so far given DStv subscribers no explanation for the latest crash of its DStv Now service that left viewers wanting to watch online and through their mobile devices fuming on Thursday night.

On Monday night MultiChoice was asked what went wrong with DStv Now this time. MultiChoice didn't give a reason but confirmed that DStv Now was once again broken.

MultiChoice was also asked whether it still plans to launch a separate subscription version like DStv Now this year, and if issues continue to occur with DStv Now that makes viewing and using it impossible, hoe MultiChoice foresee a separate pay-for service working differently and better.

MultiChoice didn't answer the question.

On social media MultiChoice told furious DStv subscribers without giving any reason what went wrong, that "we're aware of the problem with our streaming service. Our technical teams are investigating and we hope to have everything back to normal soon. Please accept our apologies".

"The DStv streaming service has been offline for hours now. Over-priced and never works and they want to compete with Showmax and Netflix. What a joke," said Darren Lurie.

"How about your tweet that you have issued on your main timeline? How about some customer centricity? Maybe even send a text message. Some considerations? Where are your business analysts? Shocking," said Lungisa.
