IN IMAGES. 10 photos behind-the-scenes of the recording of the finale of M-Net's first season of The Bachelor South Africa.

The recording of the final episode of the first season of The Bachelor South Africa on M-Net (DStv 101) - a Women Tell All and After the Final Rose special - took place on Saturday at Urban Brew Studios in Randburg, Johannesburg and was broadcast on Thursday night.

The extremely small and highly-exclusive studio audience was sworn to secrecy (and had to sign non-disclosure agreements in triplicate and hand over their mobile phones) before venturing upstairs along rose petal strewn steps to a beautiful The Bachelor SA lounge, and behind that Studio 3 where the actual set was constructed.

Since devices were confiscated at the bottom of the stairs and kept in a separate room, it's not possible to show how beautiful it looked (or the food!) but at the top of the stairs were a flower-wall red carpet, as well as two bar counter areas, along with a smorgasbord of food - savoury and sweet.

Guests mingled in this area before going into Studio 3, as well as afterwards at the end of the recording during an afterparty.

A brilliant "side-effect" of M-Net taking everybody's phones away was that people actually mingled, talked, laughed and had fun, old-school style like before everybody just kept staring down at screens.
