BREAKING. SABC3's hot morning show that debuts October, calls the ultra lux penthouse in The Equinox Building, Sea Point its home.

I can be first to exclusively break the news that SABC3's new as-yet-untitled morning breakfast show that debuts on October 4, will be done from the ultra posh, hyper luxurious penthouse suite of Cape Town's only AAA grade commercial building on the Atlantic seaboard -complete with beautiful and sweeping vistas of Table Mountain and the sea.

I can reveal that Tswelopele Productions that's producing the new high glam morning show will be taking over the complete ultra lux seventh floor penthouse right at the top  - Tswelopele Productions' other show on SABC3 aint called Top Billing for nothing!  Floor space in The Equinox, Sea Point's latest ''wow''-development comes at an absolutele premium and the new SABC3 morning breakfast show with a strong lifestyle slant is taking the whole upper crust of this luxury bulding in Milton Road.

The pent house will become the studio for the show I'm told by sources and will be broadcast five days a week between 05:30 to 07:30 on weekdays from Monday, October 4 on SABC3. The new morning breakfast show (its working title is Op & Wakker) will have its name chosen by viewers who will SMS a name I'm told in a competition - ''similar to how M-Net's Carte Blanche got its name''. I'm told the winner will win a R80 000 overseas trip - but lets wait for SABC3 to wake up and tell us all this. One day when they're ready of course.

Sources close to the production tells me exclusively that basically the whole penthouse of The Equinox Building is getting completely vamped out, that it will be decked out with the best of the best and sport the best appliances, furniture, accesories and look in the absolute best of what's available in modern interior design. ''Basically we're creating our own magnificent Top Billing house complete with ultra-mod kitchen and other rooms and areas,'' a source tells me. Some of the German and Italianer designers were approached to help out and they all jumped at the chance to help convert the posh pent house to a Sea Point jewel location.

''The new SABC3 morning show will be one of the biggest productions South African television has seen in a long time,'' an insider tells me. ''There is nothing close to it. Think of it as the weekly Top Billing but something beautiful and with great advice, interviews and things to showcase, to wake up to every weekday.'' I'm told the new morning show will include movie, DVD and music reviews, restaurant and getaway reviews, and be ''a celebration of life'' with ''great guests every single day''.
