BREAKING. Idols host Liezel van der Westhuizen and 50/50 presenter Katlego Maboe set to join SABC3's new weekday morning show.

Current Idols co-host Liezel van der Westhuizen on M-Net and current 50/50 presenter Katlegoe Maboe on SABC2 are both set to join SABC3's brand-new two hour weekday morning show that will debut on Monday, October 4 at 05:30 on SABC3. The new morning show will be produced by Tswelopele Productions, already responsible for Top Billing (SABC3), Pasella (SABC2) and No Reservations (SABC3).

I have confirmed that Liezel van der Westhuizen and Katlego Maboe - both fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English and both highly sought after in the industry and coming with high TV presenting cred behind their names - will both be relocating from Johannesburg to Cape Town where the high gloss, new SABC3 show will ramping up production very soon. M-Net's All Access presenter Ewan Strydom is also crossing over from the pay broadcaster to join the SABC3 show and sources tell me Ewan Strydom will be one of the main anchors. Survivor SA alum Brigitte Willers is also rumoured but sources close to the unnamed yet SABC3 production (the working title is Op & Wakker but viewers are now going to be choosing the name) tells me no contract with her has been signed yet.

I can exclusively break the news that the show will be done from the top of a specially converted pent house in a Cape Town high rise building and will be looking amazing according to sources. Since the sixth season of Idols still runs into November, Liezel van der Westhuizen will be doing double duty on the reality show and fly back and forth until the Idols finale. The glam new morning show that will have a strong lifestyle focus will be done in both Afrikaans and English.
