MultiChoice Uganda hikes DStv and GOtv fees by up to 7.6% citing Uganda's inflation and 'current economic pressures'.

MultiChoice Uganda is hiking subscription fees for DStv and GOtv subscribers by up to 7.6% in the country from September, with DStv Uganda saying is making DStv more expensive because of "consumer inflation and current economic pressures facing Uganda".

"Please note that due to consumer inflation and current economic pressures facing Uganda, we are revising our prices effective 1 September 2022," MultiChoice Uganda is telling DStv subscribers in the country.


DStv Premium subscribers in Uganda will see a 6.7% increase from USh239 000 to USh255 000 per month. DStv Compact Plus subscribers will be paying 5.6% more from USh142 000 to USh150 000 per month.

DStv Compact is seeing a price hike of 6.7% from USh89 000 to USh95 000 per month, while MultiChoice is increasing DStv Family going from USh55 000 to USh59 000 by 7.2%.

DStv Access is increasing by 5.4% from USh37 000 to USh39 000 per month.

MultiChoice is hiking GOtv subscribers' monthly fees by 7.6% to USh14 000. GOtv Max is increasing from USh42 000 to USh45 000 which is an increase of 7.1%.
