M-Net (DStv 101) did a "black box" press drop that the courier delivered for South Africa's TV critics and journalists covering television, for HBO's new Game of Thrones prequel fantasy drama series House of the Dragon.
House of the Dragon is making its primetime linear TV broadcast debut on M-Net (DStv 101) on Monday night on DStv in South Africa at 21:30 as well as across sub-Saharan Africa.
House of the Dragon, based on George R.R. Martin's Fire & Blood book, is set 172 years before the events of HBO's Game of Thrones, with episodes which will also be available on DStv Catch Up for DStv Premium subscribers.
The 10-episode first season of House of the Dragon tells the story of the civil war and downfall of the House of Targaryen dynasty.
In the press drop that came with a beautiful gold-embossed black cardboard box adorned with the House of Targaryen family crest, M-Net sent over two whiskey glasses and a whiskey decanter, along with a bottle of 12-year matured Glenfidditch whiskey, inside a Glenfidditch ice bucket.
The press drop also included a House of the Dragon red-and-grey soft blanket, beautifully tied up and presented with a golden ribbon:
