MultiChoice and the Stellenbosch-based Woordfees festival have decided to extend its first-ever arts festival TV channel, Woordfees TV (DStv 150) for a further 3 days due to feedback from the public and DStv subscribers.

Woordfees TV that would have run on DStv as a pop-up channel for a week until Friday 7 October, will now continue until 10 December for an additional 3 days and is available for DStv and GOtv subscribers in South Africa and Namibia.

In the additional three days, Woordfees TV will rebroadcast a selection of the most popular programmes in new timeslots for viewers who said they've missed some of the content that were specially filmed for the TV channel.

"We have been overwhelmed overwhelmed by the positive response from enthusiastic and pleased viewers," says Saartjie Botha, Woordfees director.

"The Woordfees TV festival could never replace the spontaneity of being together at a traditional festival, but this model has certainly made it possible for many more people to experience the festival."

"Because of the limited time, we were unable to show many of our quality programmes more than once or twice, and the extra days will give many people the opportunity to experience these productions."

The Woordfees TV programme schedule for the extended, additional 3 days is available from Thursday 12:00 on woordfees.co.za .
