Superman prequel drama series Krypton seen on M-Net cancelled after 2 seasons.

The low-budget and low-rated science fiction drama series, Krypton seen on M-Net (DStv 101) and M-Net City (DStv 115), has been cancelled after just two seasons, along with the planned and announced spin-off series Lobo also getting cancelled.

The convoluted DC Entertainment mess - filmed on the cheap in Northern Ireland and Montreal, Canada with bad British acting - was put out of its misery less than 48 hours after the second season finale, ending on a contrived cliffhanger was broadcast in the United States.

The badly-done Superman prequel series was produced by Warner Horizon Television for NBCUniversal's struggling Syfy channel.

Krypton suffered from visibly low production values with its trashy TV take on Superman's grandfather, with Cameron Cuffe playing the real role of Seg-El in the David Goyer-produced drama.

Viewers were turned off by the sci-fi trash and kept tuning out as ratings kept falling for Krypton that was renewed for a second season in May 2018.

The planned and announced spin-off on Syfy following the Lobo character played by Emmett J. Scanlan introduced during the second season, has also been abruptly axed.

Krypton was distributed by Warner Bros. Television Distribution.
