Fox News labels the nations of El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras as '3 Mexican countries'.
The American TV channel Fox News (StarSat 261 / Cell C black 502) shocked again on Sunday when it labelled El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras in South America as "3 Mexican countries" in its on-screen lower-third chyron.
In fact, there's only one "Mexican country" - Mexico.
The wrong graphic appeared on Sunday on Fox News during the programme Fox & Friends, saying that "Trump Cuts U.S. Aid to 3 Mexican Countries", referring to the American president Donald Trump and the individual South American countries of El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras.
Later during the Fox & Friends broadcast, Fox News apologised for the mistake, when presenter Ed Henry said "We want to clarify and correct something that happened earlier in this show. We had an inaccurate graphic on-screen while talking about this very story".
"We just want to be clear, the funding is being cut off to the three Central American countries. We apologize for the error - it never should have happened."
In January this year, Fox News and Fox & Friends also made a graphic error when it showed that the American supreme court judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg had died - although she's very much alive.
In 2011 Fox News didn't know where Egypt was on its map of the world.
