Bloomberg Television's Julia Chatterley joins CNN International as anchor of a new show starting later this year, Clarissa Ward named new chief international correspondent.
Julia Chatterley is joining CNN International (DStv 401) as an anchor at Turner's global TV news channel to front a new programme that will start later this year, while Clarissa Ward has been appointed as CNN's chief international correspondent taking over from Christiane Amanpour.
The British Julia Chatterley joins CNN International from Bloomberg Television (DStv 411 / StarSat 264 / Cell C black 511) that she joined in April 2017 to co-anchor and report for shows like Bloomberg Markets and What'd You Miss?
Julia Chatterley is a honors graduate in economics from the London School of Economics and began her career in finance working for Morgan Stanley in London.
She left finance to start her broadcasting career at CNBC International, where she covered global markets and breaking business news. She also covered numerous elections, including key Greek, Spanish and Italian votes, and has interviewed international heads of state and finance ministers.
At CNBC Julia Chatterley also co-anchored the business channel's Squawk Box and Street Signs programmes.
CNN on Wednesday also appointed senior international correspondent Clarissa Ward, currently on maternity leave, as its new chief international correspondent. Clarissa Ward who joined CNN in 2015 is now taking over from Christiane Amanpour.
Christiane Amanpour who was recently named as CNN's chief international anchor, continues to do and focus on her weekday Amanpour interview show on CNN International that will soon expand and rebrand when the expanded and renamed show gets simulcast on America's PBS channel.
