The Christian TV channel TBN on MultiChoice's DStv satellite pay-TV platform has rebranded and changed its name from November to Faith Broadcasting Network on DStv channel 341.
TBN launched in May 2002. No reason for the name change were given, but in statement the channel says the new name of Faith Broadcasting Network "personifies it's core ethos" and that the rebranding roll-out "underscores the channel's commitment to being a relevant voice in society".
The TV channel says that "the name change indicates not only a desire to stay relevant but also shows a commitment to offering viewers the same high quality broadcasts they have grown accustomed to".
