The South African of the Year Awards will be broadcast live on ANN7 on Saturday with a pre-party broadcast from 18:00 until 19:00, then red-carpet coverage from 19:00 until 19:30, and then the awards ceremony from 19:30 until 23:00.
South African artists Lira, Mafikozolo, Zahara, MiCASA and Junior Mambazo will perform, as well as Nicole Scherzinger and The X Factor UK finalist Ella Henderson.
Bonang Matheba is herself nominated in one of the categories, Trendsetting celebrity of the year.
Lifetime achievement awards will be given, while awards will be handed out in the categories of Trendsetting celebrity of the tear, Campaign of the year, Sports person of the year, business person of the year, Spirit of Humanity award, Young South African of the year, and South African of the year.
