Idols Extra will go live on channel 198 on MultiChoice's DStv satellite pay-TV platform this Sunday, 13 July with the start of the 10th season of Idols on M-Net (DStv 101) and Mzansi Magic (DStv 161) at 17:30.
Idols Extra will run on channel 198 for 24-hours and it will start from right after (19:00) the end of the first Idols X episode.
Not confirmed, but Idols Extra should start by playing out all of the individual auditions from the first audition venue, which will be repeated in a loop until the following Sunday when the next nationwide audition set is added.
I'm awaiting word and confirmation on what will be shown, how long, whether there's thematic elements, whether Idols Exta as a TV channel would be watchable by people getting Mzansi Magic etc.
