DStv BoxOffice loading and making the film Invictus available for free on MultiChoice's on demand service, following Nelson Mandela's death.


DStv BoxOffice, MultiChoice's pay-per view on demand service, is loading and making the film Invictus available for free to all DStv subscribers on all HD PVRs.

The movie -a retelling of the South Africa's Rugby World Cup success and Nelson Mandela's pivotal role in nation-building, with Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon in the lead roles, will be made available on all HD PVR's, including the new DStv Explora.

Meanwhile Playing the Enemy has been loaded onto DStv Catch Up, a documentary with Francois Pienaar, Morne du Plessis and Joel Stransky - the same story and events on which the Invictus is based.

MultiChoice is warning DStv subscribers that some usual TV shows and content will not be available on HD and SD PVR's since space is needed for the Nelson Mandela tributes, documentaries and programming downloaded and available for subscribers to watch.


DStv Catch Up now contains a massive tomb of Nelson Mandela programming, with hours of film, specials, moments and documentaries available to subscribers.

DStv subscribers can watch Madiba Memories: Documentary, War and Peace on South Africa's political history, Voices from Robben Island, The Last Mile, Mandela: Great African Series, Madiba Memories: Tribute, Madiba Memories: Madiba Magic, Madiba Memories: Icons, Madiba Memories: Freedom, Madiba Memories: Awards, Madiba Memories: 2010 World Cup, Madiba Memories: 2010 Bid, Madiba Memories: 2007 World Cup, Madiba Memories: 2003 World Cup, Madiba Memories: 1996 AFCON, Madiba Memories 1995 World Cup, Madiba Memories: 1992 Olympic Games as well as the Friday's Carte Blanche Nelson Mandela Commemorative Special which was shown on M-Net.
