BREAKING. Martin Bashir out at MSNBC immediately, resigns and follows Alec Baldwin out the door.


Martin Bashir is out at MSNBC (StarSat 410), following Alec Baldwin out the door at the American 24-hour TV news channel.

Martin Bashir who joined MSNBC in 2010 hasn't been seen on MSNBC since 22 November.

Martin Bashir's on-air disappearance came after he said the former American politician Sarah Palin should be urinated and defecated on.

He didn't apologise for his comments which tarnished MSNBC, but later had to following a public outcry and complaints.

Martin Bashir says he has tendered his resignation and that he "deeply regret what was said".

Phil Griffin, MSNBC president says Martin Bashir "resigned today, effective immediately".
