CNBC's Courtney Reagan, the business channel's American retail correspondent, was caught completely by surprise when she was asked to report on jewellery sales and engagement rings during the end of the year festive time - and when suddenly in walked her boyfriend onto the set to propose.

Courtney Reagan, flabbergasted on the set of Nightly Business Report, didn't know what to do as anchor Tyler Mathisen looked on.

Courtney Reagan didn't know that her Goldman Sachs investment researcher boyfriend Jared Baker had an engagement ring. The stunned correspondent tried to compose herself - and said yes after he got on one knee.
