Although a myriad of spelling mistakes kept flashing across ANN7 (DStv 405) today as it does daily on the train wreck South African TV news channel, ANN7 finally scored its very first "best of" today since the news channel launched in September.
ANN7 cleverly-snappily headlined the news that Jake White is joining the Sharks as: "GREAT WHITE IN THE SHARK TANK".
ANN7 pipped both SABC News (DStv 404) and eNCA (DStv 403) to the post by coming up with the best header used for this news story in the on-screen lower third.
This pithy wording, a play on Jake White joining the Sharks in Durban as new director of rugby where the home field advantage is known as the "shark tank", was extremely clever and a punchy pun which neither of the other two TV news channels thought of.
