Morning Live, the SABC2 morning breakfast show which is also simulcast on the SABC's new 24-hour TV news channel, SABC News (DStv 404) will henceforth continue for an hour longer on the news channel after the two hour live show signs off on weekdays on SABC2.

There's been no official announcement, press release or statement from the SABC, SABC2 or SABC News, but Morning Live broadcast on weekdays between 06:00 and 08:00 on SABC2 will now continue for an additional hour until 09:00 on weekdays after the show with anchor Leanne Manas ends on SABC2.

The other big change for Morning Live is that the business news anchor Peter Ndoro is gone. Leanne Manas will now cover and do the business news and business news slots on Morning Live as well for the time being.

Peter Ndoro moved over to the SABC News channel  to become the new primetime news co-anchor opposite Vabakshnee Chetty.

Friday was the first day with a longer Morning Live for the SABC News channel. Leanne Manas mentioned on Friday the longer Morning Live and the tart of the SABC's 24-hour news channel, saying "good luck to everyone going forward. A nice turning page in the history of the SABC."
