Kaleidoscope starts on SABC News on Sundays at 17:30 with David Webb, looking at the African continent's lifestyle, arts and culture.

Kaleidoscope presented by David Webb made its debut today on SABC News (DStv 404), the SABC's new 24-hour TV news channel, as a new weekly arts and culture lifestyle show.

Kaleidoscope as a new weekly half hour show also has David Webb as one of the producers, and will be bringing viewers inserts from South Africa as well as the rest of the African continent.

The SABC issued no press material, press information, synopsis, weekly programme summary, publicity images, press release or programme profile about Kaleidoscope to South African TV critics and writers and didn't respond with information to requests the past week seeking basic publicity information about specific SABC News programming such as this show.

"We are going to bring you the very best of lifestyle, entertainment, arts and culture," said David Webb in his opener of the first episode of Kaleidoscope, borrowing a page from the play book of M-Net's Carte Blanche by presenting from a rooftop overlooking the downton Johannesburg skyline.

"We're going to be bringing you the very best of the best that Africa has to offer," said David Webb. Kaleidoscope is executive produced by Khwezi Skhosana.
