MTV in South Africa is looking for proposals for a new hour long weekly show with a musical guest and covering the latest in pop culture.
MTV (DStv 130) in South Africa which is beefing up its local South African content on the channel is looking for proposals for a weekly show featuring the Top 10 most voted for videos on the channels website and social media pages, as well as shorts (1 to 3 minutes) touching on pop culture and what's hot on the internet.

The content must consist out of a weekly guest (musicians, artists, actors, both local and international). The target audience is 16 to 24 age group, male and female, and 13 episodes to fill an hour (therefore 44 minutes long.
MTV's programming strategy is to premiere one episode per week which will be repeated during the course of a week.
The show needs to give the inside story to artists and be aspirational for MTV fans, be "glocal" in terms of reflecting both local pop culture and international and be entertaining, fun and engaging. The budget is R7 000 per episode.
The broadcasting date is 7 August. Proposals needs to include the CVs of key creative personnel attached to the project, the physical address of the registered production office, the production facilities that will be used, a production schedule and other company information.
The technical and editorial standards required by MTV will be set out in the production agreement. MTV will have final editorial and creative control over all aspects of the commissioned programming.
