Heather Jones appointed as the new vice president of programming at A+E Networks UK.

Heather Jones, a former director of television at Viacom UK, has been appointed as the new vice president of programming at A+E Networks UK, and will be responsible for A+E Networks UK's commissioning and co-production strategy across its channels in the United Kingdom, Central Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

A+E Networks UK runs channels such as History and Crime & Investigation Network in South Africa and Africa on MultiChoice's DStv satellite pay-TV platform.

Heather Jones will also oversee the international expansion of these channels. Heather Jones will have the responsibility of driving audience growth through original commissions and co-productions.

"Her proven track record of driving audience growth and channel expansion across a variety of international networks and content genres makes her the perfect candidate for the role."
