Bar-One Manhunt moving from SABC3 to SABC1 as the advertiser-funded production returns for a 3rd season on 30 July.

The advertiser-funded reality show production Bar-One Manhunt is moving from SABC3 to SABC1 when it returns for a third season set to start on 30 July.

SABC1, the public broadcaster's TV channel with the widest footprint, is now becoming the SABC channel littered with the most AFP's - programmes such as Tropika Island of Treasure where sponsored-branded TV content appears as part of product placement in programming due to commercial deals between companies and the public broadcaster.

Filming of the 3rd season of Bar-One Manhunt will take place, according to Nestle which is responsible for the show, in an "undisclosed, exotic overseas location" as well as across the Western Cape in South Africa.

The third season of Bar-One Manhunt will have 13 episodes with 16 finalists, men who have to "dig deep" to "illustrate their abilities, in order to uncover the ultimate Bar-One man that all South African men can aspire towards".

Auditions for contestants will be taking place in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town.

Nestle says the aim of the show is to "build a stronger bond between the brand and its core consumers with an exhilirating and gripping reality series that best demonstrates the brand core values by leading a group of exceptional male contestants through a rigorous series of challenges that will reveal a man that epitomises the everyday hero."
