TV reporter Rageh Omaar dumps Al Jazeera to become a special correspondent for a British broadcaster's news division.

The Rageh Omaar Report lasted less than two years on Al Jazeera (DStv 406 / TopTV 401) - the Somali-born British TV journalist Rageh Omaar is gone from Al Jazeera and has joined the United Kingdom's broadcaster ITV and their ITV News division.

Rageh Omaar joined Al Jazeera in 2006 and also did pieces for its Witness strand but has dumped the Qatar based 24-hour news channel to join ITV as a special correspondent. ITV tried to lure him in 2004 but failed.
