With Jersey Shore over and done with, and while we await a new season of The Only Way is Essex on BBC Entertainment, get ready to rub some oil in with the guys and gals from Geordie Shore on MTV (DStv 130) from Monday 14 January at 20:30.
MTV on DStv will be showing a new episode daily, on weekdays from Monday to Friday of Geordie Shore starting next week.
This British reality show is an MTV spin-off from Jersey Shore set in the United Kingdom - Newcastle to be exact. And Newcastle, or more specifically Tyneside, has the nickname "Geordie".
The outrageous show filled with the usual realitrash shenanigans of tanned, breast-baring and buffed individuals already filmed its fifth season and makes for don't-want-to-watch-but-have-to television.
The initial extremely vain, self-obsessed and IQ challenged cast members with out-of-control hormones in Geordie Shore which South African viewers will be introduced to, are Gary "Gaz" Beadle, Charlotte-Letitia Crosby, Jay Gardner, Holly Hagan, Greg Lake, Vicky Pattison, Sophie Kasaei and James Tindale.
Similar to The Only Way is Essex on BBC Entertainment South African viewers are going to have a hard time understanding the speech of the trashy bunch of Geordie Shore on MTV due to heavy accents peppered with colloqualisms. The show also contains strong language from the outset and throughout.
