TOLDJA! Charlie Sheen's new sitcom Anger Management officially confirmed for the Comedy Central schedule in South Africa.

After I of course broke the news back in August and TV promo spots have been running for weeks, Comedy Central (DStv 122) just officially confirmed the news in a press statement regarding the channel's acquisition of the Charlie Sheen's new sitcom, Anger Management.

Comedy Central will broadcast two episodes of Anger Management in South Africa on Monday 24 September, back-to-back at 19:15 and 19:40, which will then continue from 1 October.

Viacom International Media Networks Africa (VIMN Africa) acquired Anger Management for Comedy Central Africa from Lionsgate International, the international television arm of Lionsgate. Lionsgate Television  is the producer of Anger Management.

Comedy Central will have all 5 seasons of Anger Management for which the Charlie Sheen show is confirmed to run in America.

"We believe that Comedy Central is the perfect home for Anger Management in Africa, and we're delighted to continue building the show's momentum around the world," says Peter Iacono, Lionsgate International Television's general manager.

Comedy Central's Evert van der Veer, the head of Comedy Central Africa says Anger Management was acquired to "complement our existing comedy sitcom slate with this high profile, ratings-winning show that everyone is talking about".
