I can break the news that the pregnant Siba Mtongana has just given birth and has become the proud mom of a baby boy earlier today.
Sibahle Mtongana - better known as Siba - recently signed on as the latest South African celebrity chef to get her own cooking show on the Food Network (DStv 185) which the new mom will serious get involved in from now.
She, as well as the Food Network was waiting for the birth to happen, then a period of maternity leave, after which South African viewers will get to see the new, as-yet-untitled show in 2013.
Siba was previously on South African television in Cooking with Siba on M-Net's Mzansi Magic (DStv 107) channel. Next year her new Food Network show will be seen in 85 countries throughout Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
Siba's little baby boy is in good health, and I'm told there was no complications when Siba gave birth today in the Christiaan Barnard Memorial Hospital in Cape Town. "Both mother and son are doing very well," I'm told.
