Programming note: ESPN has the US Open tennis live and exclusively from 27 August in primetime for South African viewers.


ESPN (DStv 230) has the live and exclusive broadcasting rights to the US Open tennis kicking off on 27 August and will broadcast the season's final Grand Slam tennis event, the 2012 US Open, from Flushing Meadow.

South African and African viewers will be able to watch all the matches on ESPN with live coverage starting in primetime and continuing through the night for between 6 and 11 hours daily from 27 August until the finals on 9 September, says ESPN.
