President Jacob Zuma congratulates the eNCA on the South African news channel's expansion into the United Kingdom.

President Jacob Zuma has congratulated the eNCA on their expansion to broadcast into the United Kingdom.

The eNews Channel changed to the eNCA (DStv 403) this past Sunday night at 19:00 in a rebranding exercise.

"We congratulate the station for this growth and expansion, which contributes positively to the development of the broadcasting industry in our country and in Africa," says the office of president Jacob Zuma in a press statement.

"We sincerely hope that the outcome will be the provision of an avenue for Africans to tell their own stories to the world in their own words and perspective. The South African broadcasting sector, radio and television, has grown considerably since the end of colonial oppression and apartheid and remains a powerful communication tool for the majority of South Africans."
