Nicky Greenwall, the e.tv presenter of The Showbiz Report, The Close Up and now talk show host with ScreenTime with Nicky Greenwall revealed that she got her start in television as a teenager doing a sex education video, and having to ask about masturbation.
Closing out the second season of The Close Up, Nicky Greenwall revealed that during high school, desperate to appear more cool, she landed her first on-camera job. "People came to our school from the Cape education department and they said they were doing this sex education video for schools. It was going to be send around schools and they wanted presenters."
"We were all kids. We were like 13, 14 years old. I remember I had to sit down one day with this woman, or this doctor, and say: 'So tell us doctor, what is masturbation?' I didn't know what it was, and I just asked this question."
"I remember showing this tape to my brothers and they were: 'What is this?' And I was so serious in it, and I really wanted to do a good job."
Explaining why she has finally ended The Showbiz Report and is venturing into the talk show genre with ScreenTime with Nicky Greenwall she said "now the goal is to do work but to do things that are meaningful to people."
"That why I'm saying goodbye to The Showbiz Report after 7 years. We're launching a new show called ScreenTime with Nicky Greenwall, and it's really a celebrity based chat show. We're going to talk to local celebrities and comment on news that's happening".
"I'm feeling much stronger now that what I did at the beginning," said Nicky Greenwall. "I pretty convinced that someday, somebody's going to go: 'Why is she still on television? But until that day comes, I'm just going to continue pushing on."
